About the Role
Multi-Phase is recruiting a professional Electrical Engineer to execute responsible, varied engineering assignments independently within major industrial operations and regulated utility spaces. The Electrical Engineer performs independent engineering work within industrial and utility‑regulated environments. This role is responsible for designing, reviewing, and stamping electrical deliverables in accordance with APEGS regulatory requirements. The engineer leads system design packages for substations, switchgear, and plant distribution networks, ensuring compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Saskatchewan electrical safety legislation, and internal engineering governance frameworks.
What You'll Do
- Specify switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and distribution equipment suitable for industrial and utility applications.
- Perform grounding grid design, short‑circuit analysis, coordination studies, and arc‑flash calculations.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet CEC, provincial electrical safety regulations, and CSA standards.
- Review vendor drawings, equipment data sheets, and technical submissions for compliance and suitability.
- Prepare procurement specifications and technical evaluation criteria for electrical equipment packages.
- Apply professional engineering stamps in accordance with APEGS requirements and internal quality assurance protocols.
- Conduct field verification and commissioning support to ensure installed systems match engineered intent.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5 to 10 years of professional electrical design experience in heavy industrial facilities.
- Fully registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
- Extensive knowledge of medium/high-voltage distribution and CEC parameters.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance as applicable.
- Completion of Fall Arrest and Confined Space Entry/Rescue training, as required for field access under Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
