About the Role
The HSE Lead provides enterprise‑level leadership over Health, Safety, and Environmental governance across Multi‑Phase's engineering, construction, commissioning, and project delivery operations. This role ensures that all corporate and project‑specific HSE programs, procedures, and compliance frameworks meet or exceed Saskatchewan OHS Regulations, SPC requirements, utility‑sector expectations, and client‑specific standards. The Corporate HSE Lead drives a culture of safety excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all business units.
What You'll Do
- **Corporate HSE Governance:** Develop, implement, and maintain corporate HSE policies, programs, and governance frameworks aligned with regulatory and client requirements.
- **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure compliance with Saskatchewan OHS Regulations, SPC protocols, CSA standards, and utility‑grade safety expectations.
- **Incident Management:** Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, corrective action development, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- **Training & Competency:** Oversee HSE training programs, competency verification, orientations, and ongoing safety education for corporate and project teams.
- **Field Safety Leadership:** Provide oversight and support to site HSE Advisors, ensuring consistent application of safety protocols across construction and commissioning activities.
- **Risk & Hazard Management:** Lead hazard assessments, job safety analyses, risk mitigation planning, and continuous monitoring of field conditions.
- **Client & Regulatory Interface:** Act as the primary HSE liaison with clients, regulators, and utility partners, ensuring alignment on safety expectations and reporting.
- **Continuous Improvement:** Identify systemic risks, recurring safety issues, and opportunities to strengthen HSE performance across all projects and corporate operations.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 15+ years of progressive HSE experience in industrial, utility, or construction environments
- Strong understanding of Saskatchewan OHS Regulations, SPC protocols, and CSA safety standards
- Experience leading HSE programs within EPCM or CMAR delivery frameworks
- Excellent communication, leadership, and incident‑management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and HSE management systems
- Ability to lead corporate‑level safety initiatives and support field teams across multiple projects.
