About the Role
Multi‑Phase has an opening for a Senior Resident Engineer to provide advanced on‑site engineering leadership across complex industrial and utility‑regulated capital programs. This role oversees construction execution, validates high‑risk installations, and ensures compliance with provincial legislation, APEGS practice standards, and utility engineering governance. The Senior Resident Engineer acts as the technical authority at site, resolving complex field issues and maintaining alignment between engineering intent and construction execution.
What You'll Do
- Lead on‑site engineering oversight for major construction, commissioning, and equipment installation activities.
- Review and approve field markups, redlines, and as‑built documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee contractor performance, ensuring adherence to engineered designs, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Resolve complex technical issues related to installation, commissioning, or system integration.
- Direct site inspections, quality assurance checks, and verification of critical installations.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and utility stakeholders to maintain project continuity.
- Ensure compliance with Saskatchewan OHS legislation, utility construction standards, and internal quality systems.
- Provide mentorship to Resident Engineers, EITs, and Technologists.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Process).
- Fully registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in industrial or utility construction environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in commissioning, construction oversight, and field engineering governance.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Completion of Fall Arrest and Confined Space Entry/Rescue training, as required for field access under Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance as applicable.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
