About the Role
Multi‑Phase is seeking an industry‑recognized technical authority to serve as Principal Resident Engineer supporting major industrial and utility capital programs. This senior role provides strategic field engineering governance, establishes construction oversight standards, and validates complex installations across large‑scale infrastructure. The Principal Resident Engineer ensures that construction execution aligns with engineered intent, regulatory requirements, and long‑term asset integrity expectations.
What You'll Do
- Establish corporate field engineering standards, construction oversight frameworks, and commissioning governance.
- Lead strategic reviews of major construction activities, ensuring alignment with engineered designs and regulatory requirements.
- Assess risk profiles for critical installations, high‑voltage systems, pressure systems, structural works, and process equipment.
- Perform final validation of as‑built documentation and field engineering submissions.
- Provide functional leadership over Senior Resident Engineers, guiding advanced competency development.
- Interface with executive‑level stakeholders to maintain alignment with project objectives and utility governance.
- Ensure compliance with Saskatchewan OHS legislation, utility construction standards, and internal quality systems.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Process).
- Fully registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
- 20+ years of engineering experience in industrial or utility construction environments.
- Recognized expertise in construction oversight, commissioning governance, and field engineering leadership.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance as applicable.
- Willingness to complete required site‑access safety orientations in accordance with Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
