About the Role
Multi‑Phase has an opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide advanced technical specialization and leadership across complex industrial and utility‑regulated capital programs. This role oversees mechanical engineering teams, validates high‑risk mechanical system designs, and ensures compliance with provincial legislation, APEGS practice standards, and utility engineering governance. The position requires deep expertise in rotating equipment, pressure systems, piping networks, and plant mechanical reliability.
What You'll Do
- Lead mechanical system studies including stress analysis, vibration analysis, pressure system evaluations, and thermal modelling.
- Review and approve mechanical design packages for piping networks, rotating equipment, boilers, pressure vessels, and HVAC systems.
- Oversee major mechanical upgrades for industrial plants and utility facilities.
- Provide technical mentorship to Engineers‑in‑Training and intermediate engineers.
- Direct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning activities, and resolution of complex mechanical failures.
- Ensure engineering work adheres to Saskatchewan OHS legislation, ASME/CSA codes, and internal quality systems.
- Interface with senior stakeholders to maintain alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical systems or utility mechanical programs.
- Fully registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
- Strong proficiency with mechanical analysis platforms (e.g., Caesar II, ANSYS).
- Completion of Fall Arrest and Confined Space Entry/Rescue training, as required for field access under Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance as applicable.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
