About the Role
Multi‑Phase is seeking motivated Engineers‑in‑Training (EIT) to join our mechanical engineering team supporting major industrial facilities and regulated utility capital programs. This entry‑level role contributes to mechanical system modelling, equipment assessments, and field verification tasks under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer. The position requires strict adherence to Saskatchewan safety legislation, APEGS practice standards, and utility‑grade engineering protocols. The role blends analytical design work with structured field exposure to support competency development consistent with APEGS' progression expectations.
What You'll Do
- Develop preliminary equipment layout concepts, piping routes, and mechanical system sketches.
- Assist with basic mechanical calculations including pressure drop, heat transfer, and equipment sizing.
- Update P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and equipment datasheets based on design changes and field markups.
- Support asset tracking programs by compiling equipment metadata and configuration records.
- Participate in field walkdowns following Saskatchewan OHS requirements and internal safety procedures.
- Maintain engineering documentation in accordance with utility configuration control and change‑management protocols.
- Demonstrate professional conduct aligned with APEGS' Code of Ethics and Saskatchewan engineering practice guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Registered, or eligible for immediate registration, as an EIT with APEGS.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Completion of Fall Arrest and Confined Space Entry/Rescue training, as required for field access under Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance as applicable.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
