About the Role
Multi‑Phase is seeking an industry‑recognized technical authority to serve as Principal Mechanical Engineer supporting major industrial and utility capital programs. In this high-visibility consultant capacity, you will exercise ultimate technical governance over teams of highly qualified professionals executing complex engineering applications. You will act as the master technical advisor, spearheading grid insulation criteria, safety standards, and quality frameworks. The Principal Mechanical Engineer provides strategic engineering governance, establishes mechanical design standards, and validates complex system designs across large‑scale infrastructure. The position requires mastery of pressure systems, rotating equipment, mechanical reliability, and regulatory compliance consistent with Saskatchewan utility standards.
What You'll Do
- Establish corporate mechanical engineering standards, pressure system criteria, and equipment specifications.
- Author system‑wide mechanical reliability frameworks and maintenance strategies.
- Assess risk profiles for aging mechanical assets including boilers, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, and piping networks.
- Perform final technical validation of external engineering submissions.
- Provide functional leadership over senior engineers, guiding advanced competency development.
- Lead strategic mechanical reviews for major capital investments.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate or Post‑Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 20+ years of distinguished engineering experience within industrial or utility mechanical systems.
- Fully registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
- Recognized expertise in pressure systems, rotating equipment, and mechanical reliability.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance as applicable.
- Willingness to complete required site‑access safety orientations in accordance with Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
