About the Role
Multi-Phase has an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide advanced technical specialization and leadership across complex regulated utility infrastructure and heavy capital programs. The Senior Electrical Engineer provides advanced technical leadership across complex industrial and utility‑regulated capital programs. This role oversees engineering teams, validates high‑voltage system designs, and ensures compliance with provincial legislation, APEGS practice standards, and utility engineering governance. The position requires deep expertise in power system analysis, protection coordination, and substation design.
What You'll Do
- Lead power flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, and protection coordination studies using industry‑standard software.
- Review and approve relay logic settings, protection schemes, and high‑voltage control philosophies.
- Oversee major design upgrades for substations, switchyards, transformers, and distribution networks.
- Provide technical mentorship to Engineers‑in‑Training and intermediate engineers.
- Direct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning activities, and resolution of complex grid‑coupling issues.
- Ensure engineering work adheres to Saskatchewan OHS legislation, utility safety frameworks, and internal quality systems.
- Interface with senior stakeholders to maintain alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in power distribution, substations, or utility capital programs.
- Fully registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
- Strong history with electrical analysis platforms (e.g., ETAP or equivalent software).
- Completion of Fall Arrest and Confined Space Entry/Rescue training, as required for field access under Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance as applicable.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
