About the Role
Multi-Phase is seeking an industry-recognized technical authority to step into the role of Principal I&C Engineer supporting massive, regulated infrastructure programs and asset investments. In this high-visibility consultant capacity, you will exercise ultimate technical governance over teams of highly qualified professionals executing complex engineering applications. The Principal I&C Engineer serves as the highest technical authority within the automation and controls discipline. This role establishes corporate control standards, oversees cybersecurity frameworks, and validates complex system designs across major industrial and utility programs. The position requires mastery of distributed control systems, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Establish corporate configuration standards for distributed control systems.
- Author technical standards for secure plant networks and automated firewalls.
- Diagnose critical system‑wide logic failures and cascading automation faults.
- Validate major control system designs proposed by external engineering firms.
- Provide functional leadership over senior engineers.
- Lead strategic automation reviews for major capital programs.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in Electrical, Controls, or Systems Engineering.
- 20+ years of distinguished engineering experience within advanced distributed control fields.
- Fully registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
- Recognized expertise in cybersecurity and automation integrity.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in written and technical English.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance.
- Willingness to complete required site‑access safety orientations in accordance with Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
