About the Role
Multi‑Phase is seeking a Resident Engineer to provide on‑site engineering oversight, construction coordination, and technical assurance across major industrial facilities and regulated utility capital programs. This role serves as the primary engineering representative at construction sites, ensuring that field execution aligns with stamped engineering designs, regulatory requirements, and utility‑grade quality standards. The Resident Engineer is responsible for maintaining project continuity, resolving field issues, and upholding Saskatchewan OHS legislation and APEGS professional practice expectations.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities to ensure compliance with engineered drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, verify installation quality, and document deviations or non‑conformances.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, engineering teams, and project managers to maintain schedule and technical alignment.
- Review and validate field markups, redlines, and as‑built documentation.
- Resolve technical issues arising during construction, commissioning, or equipment installation.
- Support commissioning activities, system testing, and turnover documentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to Saskatchewan OHS legislation, site safety protocols, and utility construction governance.
- Demonstrate professional conduct aligned with APEGS' Code of Ethics and engineering practice guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Process).
- Fully registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in industrial or utility construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, commissioning workflows, and utility infrastructure standards.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Completion of Fall Arrest and Confined Space Entry/Rescue training, as required for field access under Saskatchewan OHS Regulations.
- Mandatory Criminal Record Check or Site Access Security Clearance as applicable.
- CSA‑certified 6‑inch steel‑toed safety boots.
